A coalition service member died Wednesday after being stabbed in the
neck -- allegedly by a Taliban member -- near the international airport
in Afghanistan's capital, a spokesman for Kabul's police chief said.
The name and nationality
of the service member, serving the NATO-led International Security
Assistance Forces, weren't immediately released.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he died, Kabul police spokesman Hashmat Stanikzai said.
A suspect -- identified
as a low-level Taliban commander Abdul Fatah Jahadwal -- was arrested
hours later and confessed to stabbing the man, Stanikzai said.
